METHOD FOR CLOSED CENTRALIZATION AND STABILIZATION OF WRIST AT RADIUS APLASIA Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B17/56 

FIELD: medicine, orthopedics.

SUBSTANCE: one should apply two needles at intersection in proximal department of elbow bone to be fixed in 3/4 circle installed perpendicular to antebrachium axis, apply two needles at intersection through distal department of elbow bone to be fixed in a half circle. The latter should be connected with three rods with proximal support. Two needles should be applied through II-V metacarpal bones to be fixed in a half circle, then half circle should be connected with another half circle with one rod with a hinged knot located at the level of styloid process of elbow bone. From radius side between wrist's half circle and proximal support one should apply a distraction rod with hinged knot located at the level of wrist joint, withdraw partially the wrist out of radius deviation till the appearance of tension in soft tissues of radius side. One should start distraction on the 2^nd-3d d along distraction rod at the tempo of 0.75-1 mm daily to withdraw the wrist out of radius deviation. On achieving wrist's hypercorrection one should apply two needles through wrist's bones to be fixed to distal support of the apparatus at antebrachium by conducting compression. The innovation suggested enables to decrease traumatism and improve functional results of therapy.
