FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises two flat knifes mounted in guides for permitting simultaneous plane-parallel movement toward each other. Each knife is provided with drive and projection arranged along its length from the side of the mating knife. The plane of each projection is inclined at an angle equal in absolute value and opposite in direction to the inclination of the cutting edge of the knife to its bearing edge. Each projection abuts against the side of the appropriate knife and is provided with the individual drive.
EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities.
