FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: shears comprise two flat knives mounted in the guides for permitting simultaneous counter plane-parallel movement. Each of the knives has bearing edge and two projections arranged along the length of the knives from the side of answered knife. One of the projections of each knife is provided with the pressing plane, and the other knife is provided with the cutting edge arranged at an angle to the bearing edge. The pressing plane of each knife is inclined to the bearing edge. The tangent of the inclination angle of the cutting edges is equal to the tangent of the angle of inclination of the appropriate pressing planes and equal to 1/π.
