FIELD: cathode protection of underground structures against corrosion, passing direct electric current by distances according to "conductor - ground" system, namely methods and apparatuses for enhancing quality of anode depth grounding, possibly in oil, gas, power production industry branches and in municipal service.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing grounding electrode in well; filling well alternatively in zones between electric current leads of grounding electrode with coke fines beginning from well bottom and simultaneously compacting poured coke fines by rotating depth grounding electrode and by additionally compacting coke fines with use of pyrotechnic cartridge. Apparatus includes depth grounding electrode having electric current leads in the form of plates in poured coke electrically connected one to other, arranged one under another with possibility of vertical motion and put on rod. Plate of electric current lead is in the form of single-turn auger on sleeve. Said sleeve is closely put with possibility of motion on rod made of cut pieces of tube mutually adjoined at axial and radial gaps with possibility of rotation and fixation of their mutual axial positions on bodies of pyrotechnic cartridges. The last are arranged inside said rod. Sleeves of single-turn augers are arranged in butts of cut pieces of tube and they are engaged with adjacent pieces of tube by means of tenon and mortise joints. Said sleeves are fixed against axial motion by means of single shear radial pin mounted in cut pieces of tube and engaged with mortises of sleeves.

EFFECT: lowered resistance of depth anode grounding.
