FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in compressor stations and gas-turbine engines. Proposed multisection noise silencer contains cylindrical base into which ejector is fitted square to axis. Equalizing screen is arranged on base, being connected with adapter on which noise-absorbing unit is secured consisting of separate series-connected sections, each made of layer of noise-absorbing material lined from inside with perforated shell. Each section consists of four subsections accommodating single noise absorbers. Single noise absorbers consist of hemispheres made of perforated material enclosing noise-absorbing material. Fastening of hemispheres to each other and in sections if provided by fasteners in form of rods and rings.
EFFECT: improved effectiveness of noise damping.
