FIELD: mechanical engineering; transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rotary internal combustion engines which can be used in vehicles and in stationary power plants of different application. Proposed engine has housing with longitudinal slot and inner working space, rotor with power takeoff shaft fitted in said space and provided with radial blade hermetically overlapping working space of housing from one side of rotor, and disk-like gate with radial slot on its periphery getting into slot of housing. Gate is provided with drive made to ensure passing of rotor blade through radial slot of gate at each revolution of rotor before suction of working mixture into housing working space. Working space of housing is provided with intake and exhaust ports arranged at different sides of housing slot. Walls of said slot tightly fit surface of gate whose edge adjoining side surface of rotor is made in cross section of gate symmetrically rounded off to side end faces of gate. Circular groove made on side surface of rotor tightly fits rounded off edge of gate and has radius equal to radius of gate in plane of axial section of rotor.
EFFECT: increased efficiency, power output and improved reliability of engine.
