FIELD: combination charge, applicable in mining industry in breaking of rocks.
SUBSTANCE: the combination explosive charge has blocks containing two explosives with different bulk densities and detonating velocities that can transfer detonation to each other, the explosives are positioned in a block in the form of one or several components of the same diameter in an alternating order, the diameter of the combination charge exceeds the critical diameter of detonation of any explosive forming the block, the quantity of the blocks in a charge is determined by the height of the column of the combination charge, the heights of the components of each explosive are calculated by formulas given in the description.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of blasting due to optimal selection and expansion of the range of use of explosives, their arrangement in the borehole, enhanced efficiency of the blast, control of uniformity of rock crushing, expanded field of application of non-water resistant explosives, reduced cost.
