FIELD: engineering of systems for detecting, tracking and distributing airborne targets in ground and/or sea-based radiolocation complexes, possible use for protecting ground objects from aerial attack.

SUBSTANCE: method for controlling aerial traffic and the system for realization of aforementioned method include receiving information about coordinates of aerial objects and their movements parameters by means of a radiolocation complex and radio communication means, secondary processing of received information in computing complex of automated system, displaying on the aerial situation indication screen of information about movement of airborne objects, computation of parameters of conflict situation of conflicting aerial objects and division of conflict situation based on control priority from command center, computation of parameters of conflict situation of conflicting airborne and ground objects and division of conflict situations with utilization of additional indicator in coordinates "number of conflict situation - closing-in time of objects involved in conflict situation". System for controlling aerial traffic primarily for guiding fighters to aerial targets contains central computer, communication computer, aerial situation indicator, local area network, exchange bus, device for connecting to radiolocation station, device for connecting to command stations, device for computing interception parameters, guiding trajectories, maneuvers of targets, distances between positions of fighters and aerial attack means, time of interception and flight routes of fighter, device for computing conflict situation parameters "aerial attack means - protected object" and indicator in coordinates "number of conflict situation - closing-in time of objects involved in conflict situation".

EFFECT: increased efficiency of aerial traffic control when protecting ground objects from aerial attack due to division of conflict situations during analysis of current situation in the air.
