FIELD: experimental medicine.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with modeling severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and could be applied for evaluating efficient means of medicinal protection. It is necessary to perorally introduce once a virus-containing suspension SARS, SoD strain at the dosage of 1˙105 BOU for golden hamsters of 50-60 g body weight. The innovation provides the opportunity to obtain SARS for carrying out pre-clinical study of medicinal means of protection in vivo for evaluating their impact upon disease severity.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of modeling.
