FIELD: medicine; orthopedics.
SUBSTANCE: upper jaw denture-obturator can be used by patients having defects of upper jaw, at availability of complete absence of teeth in healthy part of jaw. Upper jaw denture-obturator has combined basis. Part of basis turned to denture bad with relief of defect, including hollow volumetric obturator and support-holding aids, is made unit-cast of super-elastic titanium nickelide as well as of plastic part, substituting alveolar section, and artificial teeth. Orthopedic structure has smaller weight due to reduction in thickness of basis, reduction of thickness of walls of obturator to 0,3 mm and due to usage of titanium nickelide alloy which has 1,25 smaller weight than acrylic plastic at the same thickness. Temperature perception of tissues of denture bed is kept to high level as titanium nickelide has head conductivity to be higher than that one of acrylic plastic. Denture completely matches to denture bed to follow intricate relief of defect and to exclude contact of plastic with tissues of denture bed. Titanium nickelide alloy has minimal shrinkage at cast.
EFFECT: improved comfort at use; improved reliability.
