FIELD: production of high-condensed ammonium polyphosphates useful in various composition as fire-retarding agent.
SUBSTANCE: claimed method includes in the first step interaction of phosphorus-containing compound and carbamide at temperature higher than 100°C to produce low molecular condensation product; and in the second step heating of produced product at temperature higher than 200°C in presence of ammonium chloride additives in amount of 3-10 % based on product mass obtained in the first step, wherein as phosphorus-containing compound phosphoric acid and/or ammonium salts thereof are used. Target high-condensed ammonium polyphosphate represents fine dispersed light-gray powder having particle size less than 0.15 mm.
EFFECT: production of high-condensed ammonium polyphosphate without milling process.
