FIELD: composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of cellulose material-based carbonaceous fibrous materials suitable for use as domestic- and medicinal-destination conductive elements and sorbents. Method comprises treating cellulose material with 10-19% aqueous catalyst solution, in particular ammonium chloride/synergetic (urea or ammonium orthoborate) mixture, until content of catalyst on fiber achieves 5 to 20%, followed by heat treatment in air (from 20оС to 95±5оС) and in an inert medium (from 95±5оС to 450-3000оС) while gradually raising temperature, said heat treatment being performed with cellulose material containing no organosilicon compounds. Material subjected to above heat treatment undergoes supplementary heat treatment at 750-900оС in activation agent medium to produce sorption-active carbonaceous materials.
EFFECT: increased yield of carbonaceous fibrous materials showing various properties and manufactured according to the same process flowsheet.
