FIELD: evaluation of technical condition of structures.
SUBSTANCE: method can be used for evaluation of mechanical stresses in on-ground steel pipelines. To measure mechanical stress in steel structures, samples are made of material being identical to material of structure. Then samples are subject to different degrees of deformation ageing. Coercive force anisotropy ΔHc of metal of samples is measured in form of difference between values of coercive force, measured along to cross the applied load, depending on value of stresses in sample. Samples are subject to stretching. Coercive force anisotropy graph is built depending on applied stresses σ for samples. Received dependences are approximated by straight lines and graph of dependence of angular coefficient of straight lines tgα is built on sample's coercive force, measured along applied load Hc". Coercive force of metal of structure is measured along and at crossing direction to action of stresses. Value of coercive force, measured along influence of stresses, is used to determine angular coefficient of straight line, corresponding to current condition of metal of structure. Coercive force anisotropy is calculated which value is used for determination of mechanical stress in steel structure.
