FIELD: analyzing or investigating materials.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises cutting out a part of the coating at an acute angle to the working surface of the specimen, mating the counter-specimen and specimen over the surface to be investigated, loading the specimens by means of compression force, causing the counter-specimen to slide with respect to the specimen, and determining the intensity of wear of the specimen. The specimen is preliminary heated in the argon atmosphere up to a temperature within the operation temperatures for the specimen. The counter-specimen is made of indenter made of a diamond cone with an angle of 100°-150°. The rate of the relative sliding ranges from 2 to 5.5 m/c.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
