SUBSTANCE: specimen is made of a cylindrical roller with operating surface composed of sections formed by steps. Each of the sections is composed of two members. The lengths of the operating surfaces of the members are equal. The side inoperative surfaces are parallel one to the other and are pressed with a specified force.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability of testing.
