FIELD: measuring technique.
SUBSTANCE: wire extensometer comprises two parallel measurement systems provided with wires made of materials with different coefficients of thermal expansion, e.g. invar and graphite. Each of the measurement systems has three parallel identical wires that are in tension. One end of the first wire is secured to the base, and its second end provided with weight passes through the block on the second base. The horizontal section of the first wire near the second base is provided with the same second wire whose free end provided with weight passes through the second block on the first base. The parameters of each of the measurement systems are satisfied to the requirements presented.
EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities.
