FIELD: medicine, otorhinolaryngology.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with narrowing the columella due to applying mattress sutures. Moreover, one should perform the shift of median pedicle of inferior-lateral cartilage in middle direction, measure the distance between median and lateral pedicles of inferior-lateral cartilage and at detecting subjective improvement in breathing at the shift and at the distance between the pedicles of inferior-lateral cartilage being below 3 mm in men and 2.5 mm in women one should detect the dysfunction of external nasal valve followed by resecting the fragments of median pedicle that protrude into vestibular lumen. The application of the present innovation enables to remove disorders of respiratory nasal function a minimal traumatism.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
