SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition and a method for treatment and prophylaxis of fetoplacental insufficiency in pregnant females of the high risk group. In aim for enhancing the effectiveness of method for treatment of fetoplacental insufficiency based on reducing amount of obstetric complications method involves additional prescription of the orally used pharmaceutical composition based on substances influencing on energetic metabolism. The composition comprising succinic acid as a carboxylic acid and glucose as a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier involves plant Bergenia pacifica and motherwort extracts. The composition is given in the dose 0.5 g, 3 times per a day after eating for 3 weeks and then in the dose 0.5 g per a day for 3 weeks and then by alternating course the preparation is intaken up to fetus delivery. In case of development of fetoplacental insufficiency the curative measures of this complication are carried out depending on its severity and not breaking intake of the composition.
