FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; controls.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of control of internal combustion engine provides division of each fuel injection cycle at least into first and second separate partial fuel injection stages. One of both separate partial fuel injection stages is displaced in time at definite operating conditions and, depending on value of such displacement in time of separate partial fuel injection stage, correction value is determined for value characterizing duration of fuel delivery at one of separate partial fuel injection stages. Device to control internal combustion engine in which division of each fuel injection cycle into, minimum, first second separate partial fuel injection stages contains actuating member to control amount of injected fuel, control unit supplying signals to actuating member, unit to determine moment of fuel delivery commencement, and unit determining duration of fuel delivery. Signals from speed sensor and setter of rate of fuel delivered for injection pass to unit determining moment of fuel delivery commencement and unit determining duration of fuel delivery. Provision is made for displacement in time of one of both separate partial fuel injection stages at definite operating conditions and determination of correction for value characterizing duration of fuel delivery by one of separate partial fuel injection stages depending of value of such displacement in time of separate partial fuel injection stage.
EFFECT: facilitated determination of new parameters of control signals for both separate partial fuel injection stages, provision of minimum internal at delivery of control action to actuating member, reduced machine time for calculations.
