FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, at least one controlled parameter of power unit s regulated depending on preset value of some output parameter of power unit. In addition to at least one preset value of output parameter of power unit, preset value characterizing dynamics of setting to said value is also transmitted and, depending on said preset value and additional preset value, at least one controlled parameter is chosen. At least one additional preset value is preset time during which output parameter should set at preset value. Proposed control device of vehicle power unit has control unit which forms at least one preset value of output parameter of this power unit depending on which said unit acts onto at least one controlled parameter of power unit. Microcomputer of said control unit has program into which, apart from preset value, additional preset value is fed characterizing required dynamics of setting of output parameter to first preset value and which, depending on these two values, chooses variable controlled parameter. Additional preset value is essentially preset time during which output parameter should set at first preset value.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of control of power unit of internal combustion engine.
