FIELD: magnetic separation.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises disintegrating and screening initial ore down to 6-mm size and dry separation of the disintegrated ore in nonuniform magnetic field upstream of magnetizing roasting. There are three zones of different magnetic field intensity in the direction of the flow. The maximum field intensity, 1250-1290 KA/m, is in the first zone. In the second and third zones, the intensity of magnetic field gradually decreases in the ratio of 1:0.83:0.74. The dry magnetic separation of the roasted product is also carried out in the tree-zonal magnetic field whose intensity in the first zone is 80-86 KA/m and then gradually decreases in the second and third zone in the ratio of 1:0.78:0.67.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of concentrate.
