EPOXIDE COMPOSITION Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC C09D163/00

Abstract RU 2283333 C2

FIELD: polymer materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of epoxide composition used for protection and decorative coatings of metallic structures and wall panels with elevated resistance to sun emission as well as manufacturing poured floors, pouring compounds, and other purposes. Composition contains, wt parts: resin fraction 100, curing agent 30-70, siloxane resin (foam suppressor) 1-10, modified phenol-formaldehyde resin, colorant (pigment) 1-30, modifier 3-20, and filler 10-200. Resin fraction is a mixture of epoxide dian resin and aliphatic epoxide resin, which are taken at ratio between 60:40 and 95:5. Curing agent utilized is amine derivative obtained by reaction of amines of general formula H2N-(CaH2a-NH-)n (A), wherein a = 2-10 and n =1-6, with acrylic or alkylacrylic acid esters having general formula: CH2=CR1-COR2=O (B), wherein R1 represents hydrogen or alkyl radical and R2 alkyl radical, in presence of catalyst at 30 to 80°C for 10-60 min. Catalyst is aromatic, aliphatic, or heterocyclic compound containing tertiary or simultaneously tertiary and secondary nitrogen atoms (C) in the form of 10-90% solution in organic solvent. Ratio of components A:B:C varies between 80:19,7:0.3 and 30:65:5. Resulting aminoester is kept for 6 to 15 days at temperature 10 to 30°C and then is mixed with added acrylic or methacrylic acid at ratio from 99:1 to 92.8:8 and mixture is then stirred for 5 to 65 min at 30-70°C. Aforesaid modifier is depicted by formula R3-(CH2)m-OH, in which R represents alkyl or aryl and m=1-9, or modifier is ethylcellosolve or phenylcellosolve.

EFFECT: increased resistance to ultraviolet emissions and climatic effects under conditions of considerable variations in yearly temperatures and atmospheric precipitates.
