FIELD: transport engineering and other industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrogen energetics - accumulation and storage of hydrogen for use in chemical and transport engineering and other industries. Reservoir designed for safe storage of hydrogen consists of sealed housing, hydrogen delivery and discharge manifold, heater and filler-accumulator of hydrogen made of porous material. Part of outer surface of porous material connected with manifold is covered with layer of material featuring high permeability for hydrogen or low melting point, or low temperature of destruction, and heater is arranged at level of said layer. Moreover, hydrogen storage reservoir is proposed whose filler-accumulator is made in form of bank of hollow capillary provided with protective coating, with ends of capillary tubes being connected with manifold, and coating is made on end face surfaces of bank surfaces of bank in form of layer of material with high permeability for hydrogen or low melting point or low temperature of destruction at level of which heater is arranged. Moreover, some end faces of capillary tubes can be connected with hydrogen delivery and discharge manifold and others are sealed. Coating is made on end face surface of bank of capillary tubes connected with manifold.
EFFECT: improved storage of hydrogen.
