FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of development and application of fuel element stacks capable of converting chemical energy directly to the electrical energy. For this purpose, the stack of fuel elements is proposed. The fuel elements are connected in series and comprised of support pipe with the applied layers of anode, electrolyte, cathode and insulator. In addition, support pipe is represented with capillary with one end being closed and other end connected to the recovering agent supply unit. Anode and cathode are made of the same material. Besides, anode of each previous fuel element passes into the cathode of the next fuel element and is separated from the cathode of the next fuel element by the second insulator. There may be catalyst layers between anode and electrolyte layers and cathode and electrolyte layers. There may be also porous insulating material layer on the outer surface of the stack.
EFFECT: increase of specific fuel element power, and stack as a whole and significant simplification of design and fuel element stack manufacture technology.
