FIELD: measuring technologies.

SUBSTANCE: by means of adaptive filter, linear prediction of signal being measured is performed. Absolute value of prediction error is computed and compared to given threshold value. When absolute value exceeds error of prediction of threshold value, decision is taken about presence of amplitude outlier of signal being measured. Signal amplitude outlier is removed by halting prediction process and feeding into inputs of signal frequency block and adaptive filter of signal values, predicted by filter in the moment of detection of signal amplitude outlier. Further, standard time interval is formed, number of periods of signal being measured is calculated on this interval, and frequency of signal being measured is calculated.

EFFECT: prevented outliers of amplitude in periodical signal being measured, resulting from effect of short-time interference and failures, increased precision of frequency estimation of signal being measured.
