SUBSTANCE: use: in the field of electrical equipment for application in the measuring circuit of protection against earth faults. Method of forming a controlled signal for digital protection against earth faults with intermittent arc fault is that directly from the input protection signal, a transient process component is selected by selective analogue conversion and converting it into a control signal by reference analogue conversion, generating a signal with given characteristic parameters. Selective analogue conversion can be carried out using an analog filter of the main harmonic barrier, or using an analog high-pass filter, or with the help of an active adaptive signal recognition circuit. Reference analogue conversion may be performed either using an analog filter with a given pulse characteristic, or using a peak detector with the possibility of resetting the output signal through a given time interval.

EFFECT: improved reliability of detection of intermittent arc fault without increasing sampling frequency of ADC channel.
