SUBSTANCE: method involves applying panretinal laser coagulation of the retina. Intravenous 0.003% sodium hypochlorate solution infusions are given daily at a dose of 200 ml and 5% mexidol solution at a dose of 2.0 per 200 ml of physiologic saline are done. Sequential intravenous 0.003% sodium hypochlorate solution infusions are given daily at a dose of 200 ml, then 5% mexidol solution at a dose of 2.0 per 200 ml of physiologic saline after every panretinal laser coagulation session.

EFFECT: minimized postcoagulation complications and traumatic injuries of retinal blood vessel endothelium.
