SUBSTANCE: method comprises setting oxidized cylindrical roller on the lathe support. The diameter of the roller is equal or larger than that of the mandrel provided with braking device. The axis of the roller is set parallel to the line of the centers of the lathe, and the holder is secured to the support of the lathe. The active oxidized cylindrical surface of the roller is pressed to the mandrel by means of the transverse feeding of the support thus generating braking moment on the roller, and the spindle is set in rotation . As a result, the bright strips are formed on the cylindrical surface of the roller.
EFFECT: enhanced precision of working.
