FIELD: working by plasma beam.
SUBSTANCE: plasma burner comprises housing with discharge chamber, nozzle-anode, cathode, push-button, tank for liquid, heat-conducting pipe-evaporator, insulating pipe, and cathode holder spring-loaded to the push-button. The nozzle-anode, cathode, push-button, and tank for liquid are axially aligned and secured to the discharge chamber. The tank for liquid is filled with moisture-absorbing material. The heat-conducting pipe-evaporator is spring-loaded to the nozzle-anode and has passages that enter the discharge chamber and the space between the insulating pipe and cathode holder. The insulating pipe and cathode holder spring loaded to the push-button are mounted on the flexibly deformed members in the heat-conducting pipe-evaporator. The moisture-absorbing material is in a contact with the developed outer surface of the pipe-evaporator through the metallic grid that are interposed between them and tightly embraces the outer surface of the pipe-evaporator. The push-button is provided with threaded bushing connected with the threaded end of the cathode holder whose flat face bears on the hemisphere of the push-button the bearing surface of which is conical.
EFFECT: simplified structure, prolonged service life, and enhanced reliability.
