FIELD: electrified transport.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, signal proportional to armature current of motor is subtracted from signal proportional to armature current of one of traction motors and signal proportional to difference of signal, thus found, is applied to regulator. Depending on value of said difference, control pulse phase of valve shunting field winding of said motor through resistor is formed. Signal from which signal proportional to armature current of traction motor is subtracted is signal proportional to armature current of traction motor with minimum phase of control pulses of valve shunting its field winding. If phases of control pulses of valve shunting field windings are equal, subtraction is done for traction mode from signal proportional to maximum of armature currents of said traction motors.
EFFECT: reduced energy losses in shunting thyristors to minimum as resistors are kept at voltage during time less than in prototype.
