FIELD: railway transport; track instruments.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanized track instruments designed for driving in spikes fastening rails to wooden ties. Proposed electropneumatic spike driver has housing with sleeve, electric motor and slider-crank mechanism whose slider-piston is coupled with end of striker through volume of air. Striker is made for engagement with end face of movable spike spring-loaded relative to driver housing. Slider-crank mechanism is made offset, with axis of rotation of crank connected with shaft of electric motor coinciding with longitudinal axis of housing. Connecting rod of slider-crank mechanism is connected with crank and slider-piston by spherical joint. Moreover, end face of striker form side of driver is made convex, and end of driver, concave. Radius of concavity of driver end face on section of central solid angle 0f 55-60° is 2-3% greater than radius of convexity of striker end face, and at the rest of section, said radius is made increasing towards periphery of driver by 2-3% more.
EFFECT: reduced mass of device owing to improved arrangement and reduced energy losses owing to improved conditions of impact contact engagement of parts of device.
