FIELD: water supply, particularly to control pumping station cooperating with water supply system.
SUBSTANCE: automatic control method involves regulating liquid pressure at pump inlet in accordance to daily schedule, wherein liquid pressure and flow rate at pump outlet are measured and hydraulic resistance of the system is determined as ratio between liquid pressure and liquid flow rate at pump outlet. If above hydraulic resistance at pump outlet exceeds predetermined value liquid pressure at pump outlet needs to be increased. If above hydraulic resistance at pump outlet is below predetermined value liquid pressure at pump outlet needs to be decreased to obtain predetermined value of liquid flow rate change degree at pump outlet.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of water supply system regulation at continuously varying consumer flow rate due to improved accuracy and reliability of the system.
