SUBSTANCE: method includes performing compression of header and using element of packet data convergence protocol, which is available for each certain multimedia service of broadcast transmission/multi-address transmission, provided for cell with users in it. Certain component of network (for example, servicing or controlling radio network controller), which includes one level of packet data convergence protocol for each certain broadcast transmission/multi-address transmission service, depends on certain characteristics of terminals, positioned in a cell, which wish to receive a certain broadcast transmission/multi-address transmission service. Terminal receives through common transport channel and restores (unpacks) data of compressed header of broadcast transmission/multi-address transmission service, which have been transferred after compression of header in controlling radio network controller, and at the same time terminal receives through specialized transport channel and restores (unpacks) data of compressed header of broadcast transmission/multi-address transmission service, which have been transformed after compression of header in servicing radio network controller.
EFFECT: provision of packet data convergence protocol in controlling radio network controller, provision of method for transferring protocol data.
