FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy; methods of automatic removal of the anodic effects in the electrolytic production of aluminum from the melts.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of the electrolytic production of aluminum from the melts and is intended for the automatic suppress of the anodic effects in electrolyzers with the self-reacting anode. The technical result is the increased reliability of suppression of the anodic effect, reduction of duration time of the suppression of the anodic effect and prevention of the electrolyte over flowing through the edge of the bosh due to decrease of the degree of the mechanical action on the anodes during their suppression, reduction of the bending moment in the screws of the jacks. For this purpose at origination of the anodic effect conduct charging of the aluminum oxide in the electrolyte accompanied by reduction of the initial source interelectrode spacing interval by 10-15 % from the initial state. Then execute the longitudinal skew of the lower boundary of the anode by elevation of one of its butts and simultaneous power of other butt by 50-60 % with respect to the initial interelectrode spacing interval.
EFFECT: the invention ensures the increased reliability of suppression of the anodic effect, reduction of duration time of the suppression of the anodic effect and prevention of the electrolyte over flowing through the edge of the bosh.
