FIELD: heat-exchange apparatus.
SUBSTANCE: evaporator comprises housing having side, first face, and second face, main wick that is mounted in the active and barrier zones, secured to the side of the housing, and has dummy vapor-discharging passages arranged along the side of the housing and connected with the vapor collector, and compensation space arranged from the other side of the housing between the main wick and second face that defines a section of condensate duct whose outlet opening is placed in the vicinity of the face of the main wick. The steam-discharging passages are separated from the side of the housing with a layer of the wick. The minimum thickness of the wick is greater than the maximum size of the pores of the main wick and is less than the minimum distance between the vapor-discharging passages.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
