FIELD: possible use for positioning video cameras and correcting parameters of video cameras, working in composition of binocular technical sight system.
SUBSTANCE: known method includes determining calibrating object by building assignment functions for all possible calibration objects on image and following selection of object with greatest assignment function value, determining position of focus distances of video cameras and adjusting it to zero value, determining deviation angles of axes of local Cartesian coordinate systems of video cameras relatively to coordinate system of binocular technical sight system, and adjusting these to zero values. In accordance to invention, introduced to known method are determining differences of depth and height of video cameras mounting and adjusting these values to zero, determining of value of base between video cameras with adjusting it to given value.
EFFECT: increased precision of binocular technical sight system by means of external calibration of binocular technical sight system, providing for determining and correction of all necessary parameters.
