FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: in the method of calibration of computer vision system of roulette numbers identification, average brightness of image is measured, image sharpness is corrected, numbers on roulette are identified, and coordinates and center of rectangle outlined around number are determined. Position of video camera is defined relative to specified rectangle, and video camera is positioned in specified position. Device for calibration method realisation comprises unit of image introduction, system controller, control unit and orientation unit, identification unit. As a result, it becomes possible to install video camera of computer vision system for identification of roulette numbers in optimal position, which provides maximum validity of numbers identification.
EFFECT: provision of calibration by image of roulette without installation of reference object on roulette.
