FIELD: textile industry, in particular, knitted product manufacture processes.

SUBSTANCE: method involves forming cylindrical sock toe part by which part foot toes are closed; to do that, providing continuous knitting at the side of trace part or at the side of instep part of other sock portion; knitting said trace part and said instep part by successively reducing the number of stitches at the side of little toe by predetermined value and, after reducing the number of stitches at the side of big toe in proportion greater than proportion of reducing the number of stitches at the side of little toe, increasing the number of stitches in the same proportion; carefully repeating steps of increasing and reducing the number of stitches at the side of big toe at minimal increase-reduction proportion.

EFFECT: improved properties of sock by preventing tight adherence of sock around toes in wedge-shaped part to thereby reduce excessive compression feeling after putting-on sock.
