FIELD: shipbuilding; dry cargo vessels for carrying general cargoes, round timber and packed timber, bulk cargoes (chips, coal, fertilizers); carrying the ISO containers.

SUBSTANCE: proposed multi-purpose dry cargo vessel has hull with cargo holds divided by transverse bulkheads and bounded at sides by longitudinal bulkheads directed towards boards. These holds form cargo compartment whose total extent is no less than half length and maximum breadth is no less than 3/4 of ship's extreme breadth. Bulkheads of holds are provided with coamings whose upper butts extend above upper deck by height sufficient for arrangement of at least three tiers of cargo containers of international standard. Vessel has double sides at considerable part of cargo compartment; double sides have inner and outer sides; inner sides are structurally and functionally combined with at least one longitudinal bulkhead directed towards board.

EFFECT: enhanced economical efficiency; reduced usage of material; reduced mass; improved sea-going qualities.
