FIELD: mining engineering, particularly mine roof supports, which retain connection areas between longwall faces and mine workings of variable direction.

SUBSTANCE: face-end support comprises extreme and central sections. Each section has base, hydraulic posts, span structures, shields with articulated four-bar linkage, movement hydraulic jacks connected to section bases and bearing member adapted to support guiding head of longwall face conveyer. Span structure and base of central section are provided in pairs with dual acting hydraulic chucks having cylinders fixed thereto. In extended position cylinder rods are located from one side; in retracted position cylinder rods are arranged from another side thereof and simultaneously contact with span structures and bases of extreme sections. Extreme sections are fixedly connected with each other in hydraulic post installation areas by section ends along bases and span structures. The extreme sections are connected with each other by means of U-shaped holders. Cylinder of each movement hydraulic jack is secured to central section base, rod thereof is fastened to extreme section base. The bearing member adapted to support guiding head of longwall face conveyer is installed on central section base and comprises two plates. Lower plate is pivotally attached to central section base by means of pin provided with holder and finger. Upper plate is secured to driving head of longwall face conveyer and is movably arranged on lower plate so that the upper plate may move along longitudinal longwall face conveyer axis by means of movement hydraulic jacks located under lower plates and directed along longwall face conveyer axis. The movement hydraulic jacks are connected with upper and lower plates through holders.

EFFECT: improved adaptability to horizontal drift direction change, simplified structure and operation.
