FIELD: metallurgy, namely production of composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of pouring into crystallization vessel melt being base of composition, for example melt aluminum; immersing piston into melt and placing it at distance from vessel bottom equal to three radiuses of said piston for providing annular gap between vessel and piston equal to (0.005 - 0.03)RI where RI - inner radius of crystallization vessel, m. Melt level over upper plane of piston is equal to (2 - 8)δ (R0 /RI)2 where δ - oscillation amplitude, m; R 0 - piston radius, m. Vessel is subjected to harmonic oscillations in vertical plane at frequency 16 - 160 Hz and amplitude determined according to formula δ = 1500η/(R0 2 μ ρ) where η - melt viscosity, Pa x s; μ - oscillation frequency, Hz; ρ - melt density, kg/m3.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of method, improved quality of alloy due to high degree of uniformity and degassing, fine structure.
