DOOR ASSEMBLY Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC E06B5/11

Abstract RU 2287653 C1

FIELD: building units, particularly doors.

SUBSTANCE: door assembly comprises door frame with stepped ledge defining door opening. Door assembly also has door leaf and resilient sealing member. Door leaf is made of two tray-like profiles nested one inside another so that uniform gap is created along door leaf. Door leaf is provided with packing member having three-leafed profile. The profile is composed of non-symmetrically located wedge-like extensions having different lengths and configurations. Extension having mean length may be installed in the gap and retained inside the gap due to groove creation. The longest thin extension and the shortest widened extension create packing contour to provide sealing between door leaf and stepped ledge.

EFFECT: increased door air-tightness and thermo-insulation.
