FIELD: heat-exchange apparatus.
SUBSTANCE: plate heat-exchanger comprises stack of plates that are provided with at least one row of flat-oval openings with flanges that set in the appropriate openings of the adjacent plates to define the passages for flowing the first fluid through the heat exchanger. The longitudinal axes of the adjacent rows of openings are inclined one with respect to the other to form flanges between the plates and diverging and converging passages for flowing the second fluid through the heat exchanger. Each plate has cuts between the rows of openings arranged along their longitudinal axes and having tubs bent in the direction of flange inclination. The tubs are bent along the flat-oval openings, and the tubs of the adjacent rows are inclined to the surface of the plate in the opposite directions. The height of the flange of the flat-oval openings ranges from 5 to 15 plate thicknesses . The flanges are set in the flat-oval openings of the adjacent plates at a depth of no more than 0.3 of flange height. The width of the tubs at the site of the bend is 0.1-0.2 of the length of the longitudinal axis of the flat-oval opening. The height of the tub ranges from 0.3 to 0.7 of the distance between the adjacent plates.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
