FIELD: measuring technique.
SUBSTANCE: radiation of thermostatted light-emitting hetero-structure, introduced into viewer's field of view, is used in brightness pyrometer with "disappearing thread". Radiation from object and reference object passes through light filter with spectral transmission being identical to spectral characteristic of radiation of thermostatted light-emitting hetero-structure. Equality of brightness temperatures is judged from disappearance of image of thermostatted light-emitting hetero-structure a tested object's background. Neutral filter is mounted in front of eye-piece, which filter attenuates radiation of measured object and reference object.
EFFECT: improved precision of contact-free distant measurement; widened range of measurement.
