FIELD: technical diagnostics of mechanical equipment, particularly, to inspection of technical condition of board internal combustion engine.
SUBSTANCE: inspection of silicon absorber is performed by analyzing silicon liquid sample, which is based upon measurement and comparison with maximum permissible values of rejection factors. After engine is subject to exploitation during one hour, temperature difference Δt is measured between absorber's case and neighbor item of engine. At temperature difference of Δt<3°C and Δt>50°C, which both characterize malfunction in silicon absorber, the silicon liquid sample is subject to analysis, moreover, and maximal permissible value of viscosity has to be ±50% of initial viscosity. Smell is introduced additionally in to set of rejection factors. Serviceability of silicon absorber can be found by means of non-destructive inspection method.
EFFECT: improved speed of inspection; improved reliability; prolonged service life of silicon absorber.
