FIELD: radar technique; methods of detection of signals from surface targets and selection of signal from false targets - sources of concentrated passive jamming; coherent-pulse radar stations.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method is based on radiation of coherent radio pulses at constant carrier frequency, reception and processing of reflected signals; additionally targets are selected from targets received at second selection stage and considered to be true; frequency of outgoing pulses is changed from burst to burst; carrier frequency of received signals is reduced; power of frequency components is accumulated and decision is taken on class of target observed.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency in classification of true targets and their identity to class of targets.
