FIELD: oil geology, possible use during geo-chemical searches of hydrocarbon clusters for estimation of qualitative composition of oil in deposit at stage of searching and surveying drilling.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to method, firstly, epigene bitumen (oil) is extracted from samples of core or slurry of oil-saturated rock by means of chloroform extraction. Analysis of oil hydrocarbons is performed by researching molecular structure of extract in accordance to infrared spectroscopy method. As controlled parameters, ratios of optical densities and intensiveness values of absorption bands of aromatic and aliphatic structural groups are used, on basis of which characteristics of physical and chemical properties of oil in deposit are estimated.
EFFECT: increased pace of method.
