FIELD: amplitude-phase metering direction finders using antenna whose directivity pattern is stepwise electronically rotated.
SUBSTANCE: proposed antenna has bottom metal cone whose apex is connected to external braid of coaxial cable, as well as disk or top cone disposed above bottom one and connected to central conductor of coaxial cable; newly introduced in antenna are switching unit disposed within bottom cone and vertical commutated shunt inserts whose commutated outputs interconnect surfaces of bottom cone and disc or top cone. Inserts are equally spaced apart over circumference relative to antenna symmetry axis and their control inputs are connected to switching unit outputs so that switching unit can ensure sequential connection of each of them over circumference in every time moment.
EFFECT: ability of taking bearings due to periodic rotation of directivity pattern minimum.
