FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: conical ultra-short wave (USW) antenna, placed in a dielectric radioparent dome 6, consists of a hollow metal cone 1 with height H, apex angle α and aperture diameter Dk. The hollow metal cone 1 is placed vertically over a conducting surface 4 and faces said surface with its apex. A flat single-wound helix 2 with an external diameter Dc is placed in the aperture plane of the hollow metal cone 1 symmetrical with respect to the axis thereof. Along the wire of the external winding of the single-wound helix 2 there are n uniformly connected conductors, the other ends of which are connected to the internal surface of the hollow metal cone 1 at its apex. A coaxial feeder 5 is connected by the centre conductor to the apex of the hollow metal cone 1 and by a screening cover to the conducting surface 4. Optimum dimensions and ratios of electrical dimensions of the antenna are given.
EFFECT: forming a uniform beam pattern in a meridian plane and reducing electrical dimensions of the antenna while maintaining the quality of matching in the low frequency range.
