CUTTER BAR FOR HARVESTING MACHINE Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A01D34/13 

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, cutter bars for mowers and threshers.

SUBSTANCE: cutter bar has bar mounted in fixed position on frame and provided with shear edges, and movable knife cooperating with fixed bar and equipped with cutting sections. Double-armed lever pivotally fixed on frame has one end connected with movable knife through pin rigidly secured on knife, said pin being adapted for sliding within longitudinal slot of double-armed lever. Other end of lever is connected through tie-rod formed as stretching rod with two flexible members disposed at opposite sides of frame. During functioning of cutter bar, inertial force is transmitted to thresher casing rather than to drive owing to utilization of flexible members.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation of cutter bar and reduced metal usage of harvesting machine.
